Musculoskeletal Radiology

Musculoskeletal Radiology is the subspecialty of radiology dedicated to expertise in diagnosing orthopaedic and rheumatologic disorders. Musculoskeletal problems can be the result of various circumstances–work accidents, sports injuries, genetics, and lifestyle choices–and can manifest themselves in a variety of ways, including osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and many other joint or muscle issues.

In addition to a completing diagnostic radiology residency, our musculoskeletal radiologists continue their education by enrolling in a year-long fellowship specifically dedicated to this subspecialty, making them both highly educated and skillful. Not only are they experts in interpreting a diverse range of imaging modalities, they also perform various image-guided, minimally-invasive procedures.

To help lead patients to an effective recovery, our musculoskeletal radiologists work very closely with other specialists to provide a coordinated approach, which can provide better evaluation and treatment of patients.
