Partner Track Diagnostic Radiologist

Our North Carolina private practice group is recruiting to add another fellowship-trained partnership track interventional radiologist.

Triad Radiology Associates is a mature and expanding state-of-the-art practice of 50 radiologists and 7 mid-level practitioners centered in Winston Salem, North Carolina. We are a physician-owned and managed group providing services to multiple hospitals and imaging centers in the Piedmont/Triad region of North Carolina up to Virginia. We have top-end imaging equipment, PACS and dictation software, and IT support. The Triad of North Carolina offers beautiful weather, close access to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the coastal beaches, a relaxed environment, and great quality of life.

Our current interventional pool consists of 6 physicians and 7 physician assistants (the neuro IR service is covered separately). We are adding this additional IR position due to relocation of an existing partner and anticipation of continued clinical expansion as well as senior IR retirement down the line. Each IR physician spends about 60-70% of the time on IR shifts, with the remainder being general diagnostic radiology, focused on IR-relevant imaging. There is no mammography, cardiac or MRI responsibility unless a physician possesses particular training and interest, due to our strong sub-specialty support.

We provide the majority of our IR services at Forsyth Medical Center, a part of the Novant Heatlh care system and a 800+ bed tertiary referral center. We have a busy comprehensive cancer center and a freestanding IR clinic that is staffed daily by a physician and a PA for consultations. In diagnostic radiology, TRA also covers approximately 6 smaller hospitals and a large number of imaging centers throughout the region. We have research support through the Novant system, and in IR are actively involved developing multiple clinical pathways including the first histotripsy program in the Carolinas. Interested physicians would have opportunities to help recruit and participate in industry sponsored and academic clinical trials.

The position is partnership-track, with clinical mentoring, scheduled feedback sessions, and eligibility for partnership at two years of service. IR physicians share call responsibilities equally and with the rest of the group maintain a consistent focus on clinical excellence, fairness, and congeniality. We will be recruiting and interviewing for this position beginning summer 2026.
