Breast imaging nurse navigators
Breast imaging nurse navigators serve as educators and advocates for the patient and their caregivers throughout their cancer care experience, providing the education and guidance you need should you receive abnormal breast cancer screening results. Their service may include tasks such as ordering follow-up exams, acting as a liaison between the patient and doctor regarding the understanding of medical recommendations, and ensuring pathology reports and referrals are completed in a timely manner. Nurse navigators are also there to provide comfort, compassion, and emotional support to patients and their families.
